KIELENHALTIJA (The Lord of the Language)

The show combines shadow theatre, puppet theatre, poet singing and dancing in a very skilful way. The story is made for adults and it is based on the life of a famous poet singer Larin Paraske. It is not only a biographic performance but it also brings up single events from his life. Being a Karelian, being a woman and the Orthodox religion are raised as the themes of the story.

The show is built by two performing women who act as singers, dancers, shadow puppet handlers and comedians. The show is visually impressive and it leads the audience from tears of sorrow to bursting laughter and all the way to the extreme excitement of the spells of giving birth.

The show suits to all kinds of occasions and parties.
